archone88 29 Posted January 23, 2014 First time playing after yesterdays patch blabla.. First thing I noticed is that an hour played had been rolled back. Because I resumed my play at a previous saved location.Doesnt matter. Second thing, my sound was disabled somehow. So I played a bit without sound, before I restarted Dayz.Solved the sound issue. And now to the clone.. When I came back after restarting Dayz. A character stood to the right, infront of me. Looking exactly like me. I mean exactly. I was amazed! I shot the clone in the head, and he went down. Seconds later, while Im pulling up my Fireaxe.He lays on the ground and turns his head to look at me!! I bury my axe in his back. And hes dead. Now, was this a clone or not?Because when I opened his inventory, he had the same exact items. On the same slots I had. All items identical.But 50% of the items was gone from the backpack. And all other ruined (probably cause I axed' him in the back). His weapon, with all the attachments, was pristine. Just as my own gun.So I could loot the parts and ammo from that cloned gun. And walk away. Has anyone else encountered this? I say again, that this was indeed an exact image of myself. Except that he had some missing items in his backpack. blacklabel79 949 Posted January 23, 2014 I saw cloned Bodys with lots of loot in screenshots. Ist dublicating your own char wich you seemingly did by accident. OFC ist a bug/exploit and i think ist in the bugtracker too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I axe-murdered a couple players the other day who were in the process of looting their numerous intentionally created clones, then I murdered their clones, which isn't really murder. It's more like "closing the loop." :P They had more than a few clones of themselves so it was pretty obvious they were doing it on purpose. They were so engrossed in their cheating and looting their clones, that they didn't hear me running up to bury an axe in their heads. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ildevonz 0 Posted January 23, 2014 Hello.I encountered a similar situation with 2 friends of mine, but even before the new patch.The game of my friend crashed, but his body stayed in the server. As he locked back in, his body was still there, not moving, but turning his head around (realy creepy).We handcuffed him and it sayed the name of the player your handcuffing is "unknown player" or "inknown identity", can´t remember exactly. However, we killed the clone and he had the exact same gear as our friend.We are pretty sure it was a clone, cause we where the only 3 people in the area around us (in the middle of a forrest near stary sobor) and the remaining 2 of our squad "guarded" the body of the chrashed friend Greetings.
