Can someone tell me how to update my game on steam?

I have the option set to auto update, but it didnt update my game and every server i join i get a messge " bad version server rejected".

 

How come steam wont update my gameee??

Right click the Dayz name in your library - go to properties - set it to auto update every time ASAP

Be sure you have updated (Try verifying Game Cache) to the correct version 557 and are joining a server of the same version.

That is an older patch. As I said try verifying game cache in Steam. Patch of today is 557. If that does not work, then I know not what is going on.

I got the same message,after logging out and looking at the auto update option I noticed I'm downloading it now. If it isn't downloading do the verify game cache.

What I did was restart Steam. After Steam got back on, it updated the game.

Yup, restart will prompt the update. Can confirm.
