marsmars 155 Posted January 23, 2014 Logged into some server earlier and was a fresh spawned, so figured my character was wiped Anyway just now logged into a different server and I have my fully geared character from before the patch? how does this work? To clarify: Servers listed as Hardcore are on a different hive from the Regular ones. Also on the Regular there seems to have been a roll back of a few days. So if you didn't have a character a few days ago, you won't now.Otherwise you got the "character save" bug. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
antonioajc 500 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) I spawned as a fresh spawn on both hives of regular and hardcore. I was fully geared before, so I figured that my character was wiped. placiddream 9 Posted January 23, 2014 i too just logged in and my character was geared differently from before the patch. didnt think much of it till i recognized my gear was from a few days ago when my character got wiped. the only reason i know for sure was on that character i had horded 4 prestine saline solutions with iv starter attached in a medkit bag. only did that once.. i figured we would have got wiped after this patch so i count myself lucky. I logged off the game about 8 hours ago "Before The Update", I was fairly kitted up in civilian Hero-esque clothing.I just returned to the game "After The Update" and found myself as a fresh spawn on the coast! This was on a Regular server.That server was lagging, so I hopped into a different Regular server and to my surprise my character was fully geared in Military gear! :-\ LOL This was a character I had about 5 days ago that "Died" as a result of the bloody annoying "Vault as you try to climb a ladder" glitch.So I tried a few more regular servers and discovered that my character changes from this old Dead character and a fresh spawn in different servers even if they are all regular ones.I tried Hardcore servers and I seem to be a fresh spawn in all of those. Everyone in the Alpha is actually here to test this stuff. They've just done some major reorganisation of the Hive with the Hardcore/Normal servers, I'd presume that there might be a few kinks to work out with that.
