But the only way to hear it or not is to turn on or off one of these radios?What if you could take a radio with you?If there is a broadcast going, then you know someone is at the local station or the big one.Just an idea.... It's one of those ideas that doesn't really affect those who hate the idea. Just never turn on a radio and you never have to deal with it.I think it'd be cool. Not just for ranters, but imagine someone actually playing music over it during the apocalypse. Or news or psyco-babble. Whatever.Yes, someone will know a person is at the station and turning on a radio can give up your position during the day much like a light can give up your position at night.I think it's a good, passive idea. IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted January 22, 2014 When radios are working they want to add in Internet Radio stations broadcast over in game radios on distinct channels. I'm sure they'll probably add in a 'numbers station' or some such. At the train yard I work at one of the channels on our radios picks up the National Weather Service which has a text to speech voice giving weather and surf information for many areas. Hopefully they'll have such a station tied in with dynamic weather that for some reason or another is still functioning (lets just say it's automated or whoever is doing it is still alive and has nothing else to do).
