Second Zoom

Recommended Posts

Hi, this may sound noob, but is there a second zoom after you go into optics mode on a gun? I saw frankieonpc1080p, and in his videos, after he goes optics, he zooms in again with an m4a1, was this editing, or is there a control for it? ( looked for the control for a long time )

Not in DayZ game.

In the mod there is however due to the ArmA 2 engine, just hold the right mouse when zoomed, right mouse also holds your breath for steadier aim.

Nope, they removed that feature. What you see in Frankie's video is post-processing.

Yea he does it so that you can see the targets better when watching his videos. Also notice how it gets blurry due to resolution.

When did they remove this? I know it's not there for the M4 anymore, but with the high-power scope for the Mosin I was able to do it as late as last week... Only with that scope, though.

It's still there for the long range scope. It was never in SA for other sights.

Some rifle scopes have a zoom on them naturally.

Only on the long ranged scope can you zoom in (+/- on your num pad) after initially entering the optics, which is the way it should stay
