Balanced Defibrillator Idea

When a person dies, 100 second timer kicks in. At 100 seconds left, there is %50 chance of getting revived from dead to unconcious situation, along with gaining just a tiny amount of health enough to keep you alive for a little time. Every two seconds decreses the chance by %0,5. Your bleeding etc. won't stop. Using defiblator has a 30 second recharge cooldown so you can try it 3 times max each with a decreasing chance. Defibbing someone also has an animation like forcefeeding so user should stay constant for 5 seconds. Defib also makes huge charge sound.

 

- Will help dying from stairs or bugged falls, your friend can immedietly help you.

- Can't do it during firefight because standing still for some time unprotected and charge sound that gives up your position. Also revived person will be unconcious for a long time and still losing blood. So no instant revive.

- Won't turn the game into battlefield because that's pretty much how defibs work. (sorry fanboys)

IMHO a player shouldn't be able to revived by a defib at all, when someone decided to throw massive amounts of lead (or just one bullet to the head) towards another player.

 

Dead is dead and that's the thrill. There's no comeback or second chance with a 5.56 hole in your head.

Defib should also knock down life concious players. Lights out for few seconds, wouldn't that be hilarious ? Shocking your friend for teh lulz ?

I agree the defib should be able to revive players within a time period with some restrictions. such as a shot to the head pre or post mortem should disallow revives.

 

on separate occasions both me and the gf fell around 12 feet and instantly died. no damage to our kits, just instant death. this would be an example where I feel a defib should be able to revive a player. when they suffer no external injury.

What about giving the game time to fix problems with people dying when they're falling ridiculous small heights, instead of reviving dead people.
A defib should allow players to be revived when their "death" (make people unconscious before they die) is caused by sickness (heart stops beating), to give them some extra time fighting the sickness.
