I stumbled upon this image while reading a news article today.. the resemblance is uncanny. I can not praise the artists and developers enough for what they have accomplished thus far with DayZ. I believe this image really helps illustrate the chaos and the inherent dangers of a failed state or any lawless environment (Disclaimer: I realize this image is of a singular incident and I am not making any political statements via my interpretation of this photo). I encourage the artists and developers of DayZ to incorporate into their work the feelings and themes evoked by this photograph: fear, chaos, self-reliance, rage, fire, conflict, destruction, loss, anarchy, etc...

Again, thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

Ahh I see what you mean. Ukraine, and especially Chernobyl, should provide excellent inspiration for the game. Whenever I walk into Elektro and see the see the entrance sign I instantly think of the Pripyat entrance sign.

There are so many photos I could put here. I hope the dev team get an artist for the game. Would love to have a DayZ poster. Not to mention all the other artists on websites like DeviantArt who have created some amazing stuff.

Also heads up, this should probably go in another forum area :P ..

That pic in the first post is still hands holding kindergarden stuff imo...if you want to show chaos and lawlessness post some pics of the black continent...but that would be too much gore.

TYS,

Thanks for sharing the photo's. I appreciate the Heads Up, I'm not opposed to moving this thread to a better home (Did not recognize I was posting in the Mod forums). I know it's a nightmare to make fires/explosions but I'm hoping we see fire being employed throughout Chernarus as a destructive force and for greater atmosphere..
