Not another redicilious timer suggestion, this is a real one.

Recommended Posts

Apparently everyone wants some big-ass tent, tagging the character or a 2 hour logout timer. Doesn't seem really balanced. How about just a simple proximity detector, if someone is in the vicinity you cannot log out. Or just a timer similiar to the mod. (free to logout when not under attack, can't logout when zombies/players are near/under fire.)

YOU CAN ONLY LOG OUT NEXT TO PLAYERS THAT ARE ON YOUR FRIENDS LIST.

It really bugged me in the mod when I couldn't log out next to my friend. I don't see what's wrong with just having a timer.

I cant really say I am for or against a timer. It dose not really seem like a bad idea as long as it was not a ridiculously long timer, they could prob have it as a server feature the admin could choose. On the bad side it just seems like another reason for some bandit to go around shooting people so they have to wait.

But I def agree we do need a proximmity/combat detector to help stop combat logging. And if they could do something similar to Rust with sleepers and have combat loggers character pass out.

How about you can only log out to players on your friends list? c:

A general "you can't logout as long as there are enemies nearby" is a bad idea for multiple reasons. First how big a radius would it be? 100m is to little because if someone is 700m away with a sniper rifle, shooting at you, you still shouldn't be able to log out. But 700m is to large because there could be players nearby that are not hostile and you simply need to leave for what ever reason.
