Assert (DayZ) 0 Posted January 19, 2014 Okay, well i just got on this site today, my friend told me to try Dayz but he couldn't tell me how to get it and all the requirements needed to have all items and play the games etc. Could someone help me out with steps on how to get EVERYTHING. Problematic 71 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Easiest way I know; 1. Download Steam2. Create Steam account if you don't have one already3. Buy the game on Steam (using PayPal/creditcard or whatever)4. Download game5. Install game6. Play game! Have fun in Chernarus if all succeeds! Edit; posting in this topic made me realize I actually don't know if you can even get the game without steam. Ah well, Steam is great even without DayZ so don't really care either way. The Mod has a lot more stuff in it atm but the standalone is going to eventually have more in it than the mod. "steps on how to get EVERYTHING", step out in to the game and go get everything, there are thousands of informative tutorials online literally, this place alone has tons of information, writing a post like this before actually looking through countless ones like this is just lazy, heres some quick tips, find a bag, find and axe, dont fist fight Z's, stay out of sight, drink and eat. Reminds me of the folks who pirated Game Dev Tycoon then went on the forum complaining that their company was destroyed by pirates..lol. In fact, BI and Rocket should put a DayZ SA torrent out there with tons of bloatware and spawns you on the 'Pirate' servers surrounded by zombies.
