superiorgenes 0 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with game play regarding controls and hotkeys. My 3rd person doesn't seem to work, it's only worked once. I have toggle view set to 'enter' and even change game perspective to 3rd person but nothing works. I'm always stuck in first person which is irritating. My toggle run/walk keeps me in a walking position unless I'm sprinting with 'turbo'..the default run just doesn't work. Wondering if anyone has a certain configuration for keys that is working well for them because right now I can't seem to get anything to work. I understand this game is ALPHA but I don't want to play it in first person view or without running... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
creature 1189 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Reset your controls back to default. 1pp/3pp is the enter key on the numpad. If you're stuck walking, double tap w or your right mouse button. It's one of the 2. Try various combinations of both until it works. TYS 25 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey superiorgenes.. Try checking the server actually allows for 3rd Person, some are set to veteran difficulty or don't all third at all. When in DayZ Commander you can toggle 3rd person servers on and off to suit you. Also in the name of the server you should see whether its allowed or not. Look for this: [Regular|3DP:ON|CH:ON] – difficulty level (regular or veteran) | third person perspective (on/off) | cross-hair (on/off) Make sure 3DP = ON.
