Guest Posted January 19, 2014 You realize that its a map of a Russian Area, with the Words in Russian, Its easier than being given the English and trying to work out where the hell You are
doviszxc 194 Posted January 19, 2014 Well. Find the book. "The Russian cheat sheet" Or just write down the alphabet from Russian to English. It doesn't bother me or something. What is so confusing here? S - SouthE- EastW- WestN- North NE - North eastSE- South eastNW- North westSW - South west. What do you not understand here?
Nebulae3 422 Posted January 19, 2014 Yes, I am aware it's russian and I speak norwegian language. But if we get the map translated to english however; well, it's a disadvantage to not understand russian.I found a map piece earlier, but I can't figure out russian letters, unfortunately, soit doesn't help me.All items in-game are in english - so a map with an english translation would begreat in beta or near release. -Ori

Window Licker 504 Posted January 19, 2014 If it was in English it wouldn't make any sense at all because the road signs are all in Russian, so that would make it even more useless, at least right now I can look at a sign and look at the map to figure our where I am, add a compass and boom instant navigational abilities.
Nebulae3 422 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) I know, they had to rename road signs too in an universal language like english. I'm certain you can buy an english map over the area when you visit the country. )) Edited January 19, 2014 by Ori42

Areos (DayZ) 106 Posted January 19, 2014 When you're new to the game, you'll want to keep a map outside of game nearby in order to determine your location in the game world. When you've played this game for months and pretty much have every nook and cranny of the map burnt into your memory, it becomes a non-issue.
knoCC (DayZ) 211 Posted January 19, 2014 You have plenty of time to explore every area in DayZ before they start adding more and more shit, as well as a lot more people start flocking on. Then sir, then, you are fucked! GET TO IT!!!!
