[NIGHT] missing textures // black / grey / night time

yo,

 

very often i join a night server the textures looks totally bugged to me - they'r just a black block, other ppl around me can see pretty well, without tuning gamma/brightness. even if i tune gamma/bright. i won't c anything except of black textures. any idea whats causing that and how to get rid of it?

Set your HDR to low, not very low.

I have the same problem, even with low HDR and high gamma/bright. It is slightly better when I turn off shadows, but still all I see in the dark is one big splash of black and grey

dunno op I see it pretty nuch the same as you, all I do is turn my brightness up full and leave gamma default, maybe slightly less. feels very night time to me tbh..

I think they wanted it to be like that... After all nights without much source of light are pitch dark, I think

Tweak your HDR and Cloud Quality settings. Sometimes you can see better clouds disabled but sometimes you need to enable clous to see better.

yeah it's not so much missing textures as missing moon, it's definately better when it rises..

tweaking hdr/clouds/shadows didn't brought me the success i hoped for. before some days i could c "easier" at night. now without changing anyhting it appeared to be black/grey blocks of textures only on every nightserver.

 

after joining multiple nighttime servers this day, i had like 3 servers where i could see much more, like "back in the days" - i guess it was about sunrise, or the moon was just brighter, idk. i quit one of those servers and joined immediately back and guess what, black/grey textures.

 

in case its about the server ingame time, i wonder y friends on the same server sometime see much more then i do - or reverse. there might be something wrong with the client/serverside timesetting ingame. i remember back, a few days ago i was chillin on a hill, soaking up the rays while a buddy joined my server and ranting about the nighttime server i play, i had to send him a screenshot since he didn't believed its daytime - he had night.
