hattukauppias 1 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Battleye Some of you may know that there is many threads in internet that people got banned by battleye with no reason, some of them may be just lies to attempt to get unbanned.I myself got global banned (I believe that during night while I was sleeping), but that's not the reason why I suggest to remove battleye and replace it with another anticheat program. Reason why I want another anticheat program is battleye's support and way they handle customers.They seem to don't care about bans and only way you can get "unbanned" is to buy new copy of game or give very detailed proof that you haven't cheated or your CD key was stolen (in case of DayZ mod). My personal experience about battleye support:I got banned 13.1.2014-14.1.2014 during night while I was sleeping and today finally battleye support answered to me about my ban.Here is email conversation about that ban.Hello! Your ban is valid, i.e. backed by clear evidence of hack usage in any BE-supported game, and therefore won't be lifted. If you change the security system to a different developer, then the whole list either has to be paid for and transferred, or started all over again. Same reason VAC waits for a while before applying the bans.Likewise they cannot tell you any information about what got you flagged because this is a war of attrition, it's about wearing down the opposing side by making it lose money (refunds on non working hacks), waste it's time and energy (update hacks) and making intelligence gathering confusing (which of my cheats still work, is this one still ok?). 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Personally, I would have not been so inclined to bother had I had to deal with hundreds of similar emails. Yes it "sucks" that you have possibly had your CD key compromised but it is up to you to look after your PC and the data it contains. You have asked for the time of the ban which seems fair enough, but what's that going to get you. What you can say 'But I was asleep in bed, then!'. They have no concievable way of checking that data. They do have logs that show that someone using your Steam or DayZ information was hacking on a BE server. They aren't going to get into a 'He said / She said' argument over this. The nature of the arms race that BE is in, will always mean that they are reactionary, so you aren't going to be able to see the logs they are using to back their ban with. You might be able to retain a lawyer who could sign a NDA and be able to get eyes on them to verify them, but that would entail a huge expense. So, take it on the chin and remember: (Gleaned by the more than pleasant BE email persons email) 1) It's your responsibility to ensure that no one else has access to your account.2) The only way to get unbanned and be able to play on BE servers again is to buy a new copy of the game on a new Steam account.3) You can still play the game on BE-disabled servers.4) Please understand that no further details about your ban can be revealed and no further instructions on how to get unbanned can be provided.5) Hackers want to get access to this information as well, so obviously we cannot reveal anything. It's funny, a quick google of your user name turns up someone with the exact same name "hattukauppias" who is registered on a site called ElitePVPers, which is a well-known game hacking site. Friend of yours perhaps? Maybe this is all just a case of mistaken identity? I mean, hattukauppias is a pretty common name right?It's not my friend, it me. By having account in epvp don't mean that i'm hacker. As you can see i have coded one program for darkorbit (help program) that i posted there and tried to sell some origin keys. If you hack once, you're more than likely to do it again.So whining about a anti-cheat that actually caught you is not even worth your time. Yes the anti-cheat is horrible, but so is punkbuster and many others. (not that i know the name of any of the other ones) Also some anti-cheats check the site that you got to as-well. blazed 71 Posted April 21, 2014 Oh we have seen this "I don't know why I got banned" too many times by innocent victims who's usernames when googled come up in hack forums often. I highly doubt it was a false positive, if there were false positives so many people would get caught in it and they would realise and fix the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case. No tolerance to hackers, get banned, deal with it, and please don't rebuy game lol. VAC and BE need to in fact up their game even more, I still see hacked ammunition and guns ingame, ban them all until a hacker is as rare as a winning lottery ticket.
