Nebulae3 422 Posted January 17, 2014 I don't have Arma2 and I don't have plans to get it -so is't possible to play DayZ with Arma3?
fitzee 248 Posted January 17, 2014 Hi. This forum is for DayZ standalone. It is its own game, no need of ArmA2. There are some mods for ArmA3, based on the DayZ mod from ArmA2, though I haven't actually tried any myself. Regards.
Hirntot 6 Posted January 17, 2014 No you can't, but you can play Breaking Point with arma 3.
damagefilter 34 Posted January 17, 2014 Uhm ... short answer: No.Long answer: Noooooo. In case you want to play the Mod, this is the wrong forum. Look further down.If you are actually thinking about this stand alone, what makes you think you need any of these games?
Skinup69 24 Posted January 17, 2014 Buy the standalone game, don't touch broken point
antonioajc 500 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Depends if you're actually on the right forum. This is about the standalone, in which does not require any Arma game, therefore making it a STANDALONE. Edited January 17, 2014 by AntonioAJC

Member Since Today, 08:30 PM please cut this guy some slack...he's obviously new to the forums and doesn't know the structure of the forums as he came here just to ask a question and you greet him with patronisation... Such a welcoming community...Was gonna say this before you beat me to it. Yeah I agree, they could be a bit nice to the poor guy. Albeit lacking manners and common courtesy, the above posts are correct. This game requires no mods or Arma games to play.
nms886 6 Posted January 17, 2014 If you want the DayZ mod you can get all the required games (arma 2 and expansion) + 7 others in the current humble bundle for about 6$. The stand alone which this forum is for is 30$ and is in alpha as you can clearly see by looking around the site.

The stand alone which this forum is for is 30$ and is in alpha as you can clearly see by looking around the site. But for 30$ you do not only buy an alpha. You buy the future finnish product:) For 6$ you get a old game with expansions and a mod thats very glitchy and not user friendly. So i recomend to pay for the standalone.. Even its still in alpha, and will be for a long time..But eventually the standalone will be amazing..:)
Gruso (DayZ) 81 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) ^ No argument with any of this, but if OP is low on funds, $6 for access to DayZ mod is pretty unbeatable. https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly Edited January 17, 2014 by Gruso
Nebulae3 422 Posted January 17, 2014 Yeah, I saw Frankie played DayZ mod. from arma2 - so I guess I will try it out the standalone prosject.ty, for breaking point mod - I saw another mod related to arma3, which was similar to Fallout serie, which was cool, ty all. Nebulae3 422 Posted January 17, 2014 Well, not low on funds, but my high end pc 32 GB ram + 780 gtx gpu got such a horrible fps compare to BF4 - so I'm just scepticalsince it's an open world PvP mmo. ))

Such a welcoming community...Nah, I didn't intend to be patronising. Perhaps, next time I'll try to find better wording.(after all, what I said contains some truth and indeed, the forums for the mod are further down the board list ^^) Edited January 17, 2014 by damagefilter
