Humanity factor

Recommended Posts

Something that I think would be interesting to think about adding would be scars that appear on a players face, and they would earn these scars by killing other players. The reason I would go with scars is because I view a player wearing a mask as the mark of a bandit, and scars would give bandit players a reason to wear a mask--- to hide the gruesome scars they earned by brutally murdering players. Now obviously then this would just mean that if you see a player wearing a mask you will assume for sure they are a bandit, but that may not be the case if they add more face cover in the game. Players may find various face covers appealing, and so there wouldn't be a sure fire way to tell, unless of course you removed the mask. The second thing I see wrong with this is that some players may argue that this takes from the realism, for how could a player magically earn scars after killing a player, say he even snipes the player? Well in my opinion the game is still very much a game, and I prefer features over extreme realism. But that is just my opinion.

We both know it's not do-able.It takes away from the realism, and in real life

there would be no way to seperate a legit friendly survivor from a bandit...but you already know this, people are

a little over sensitive about Kos and bandits suggestions so i advice caution. You are stepping on some mighty thin ice.

I'm going to say somethings that I pretty sure that others are going to say in reply to this thread.

NO.

As stated in other threads adding any sort of identifying in-game mark/name ect. so that players can easily pick out a Bandit vs. a Hero is out of the question, and I am pretty sure that with the amount of Bandits/KoS'rs on this game their faces would be nothing but scars, nothing else but scars.

So again, NO.

People really, really love how Disney visually identify the heroes and the villains in it's movies...

It's just a convention for small children stories you know. In the real world villains look like you and me, it's just that everyone always look horrible in mugshots.

Humanity would be interesting only in that it should be like a food refill. Interacting with a player in a positive way like trading or being around them working together would raise your humanity, while being alone would lower it. I would not have any sort of identifying mark but I think your character should slowly go insane if alone for too long. This would mean working together, where as "heroes" or "bandits" is irrelevant, but working together would be promoted.
