3rd Person field of view blocking

I think 3rd Person view should be tweaked so that people can't "cheat" by using 3rd person to look around walls, etc.   
 
I don't mind the 3rd person view, per se, but if you're concealing yourself behind a wall and someone can see you (and hadn't seen you prior, so don't even know you're there), that's rather crappy.  And similarly, if you're hiding you shouldn't be able to see someone sneaking up behind you.

 

So I suggest having whatever you couldn't see in 1st person blacked out or something when you're in 3rd person

We've seen this post at least 100 times on the forums. I would suggest using the search bar and finding a server that says 3P:Off...

Yes this debate is old and usually just turns into a flame war between the loud-mouths of both sides BUT I do agree with OP and wish something could be done so that everyone could keep using 3rd person but limit it in some way to make it less "cheaty".  I personally enjoy the immersion of first person as much as possible but this game engine (at this point anyways) has flaws that make not being able to switch views occaissonally when navigating rather unpleasant.
