ALmighty1080 0 Posted January 16, 2014 I don't like the idea of labeling other players as heroes or bandits. I think a easy deterrent from killing others would be having death attract zombies to any location where a player was just killed. Maybe even spawn zombies within a certain distance to that players death. Giving the bandits a finite amount of time to collect loot before he'll have to face 20-30 zombies. This will force killers to have to waste resources taking out a horde of zombies rather than just killing more fresh spawns. At the moment there probably isn't enough zombies in game to do this but hopefully later on this might be possible.
meat pie 632 Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Yea nether does this, the more people you kill the more aliens that spawn near you and they will see you easy. Its a cool Idea but really if you kill some one with a gun in the mod it will make zeds run at you anyway so they dont really need some stat for the more people you kill. that being said its only in the mod, there is almost no zeds in SA. But its alpha so they want to make sure the servers are good and stuff before they add tons of zeds. Its not that bad the new warz map does not even have zombies yet so count your blessings, that the dayz team at least does some testing them selves. floj 393 Posted January 16, 2014 Once there are more zombies and they respawn, the dinnerbell guns will be drawing them in from miles around...
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted January 16, 2014 Actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Not really as a means of stopping KOS but just a good idea generally (Not the spawn 20 zombies around a dead player thing). Gun fire alone will probably attract zombies, but if they 'smelled' blood in the air and went to investigate (not a full out mad dash for fresh food) that would be something.
