funky_mish 75 Posted January 15, 2014 Good stuff, though there's no need to carry all that food. Eat until you're stuffed and let your stomach hold the beans. Then you have more inventory slots to play with.
hitt0r 78 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) i understand the body can hold loads of calories as fat etc.... i'm alredy full off food/drink but i don't actually need anything else do i? unless im missing something here? better to have than have not ? Hikurac 115 Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Survival wise it's a pretty good loadout. Just keep in mind that with of the military gear (especially the mask) you look like the typical bandit. As for the food, do what funky_mish says and just eat it. There's no need to have drink or food on your person, unless you never go into town. At most you might need a canteen and a thing of rice. Other then that your completely set. Edited January 16, 2014 by Hikurac
hitt0r 78 Posted January 16, 2014 Everyone is saying 'dont store food' and i understand it takes up room but my belly is full and i love carrying beans as its great energy, calories and a source of water (albeit its like 140 or so?) but if you have a loadout like i have, with the exception of antibiotics which i have since acquired, there's nothing else i need room for? that's the point i'm making .... what i'm trying to say is... if i drop my food what items should i store in that free space which adds survival value ? i can't think of a single thing ? maybe charcoal tablets but i don't eat rotten fruit so there's no point in them. cheers. Immersive 121 Posted January 16, 2014 Dunno why people keep making these loadout threads, won't be long before you're sat by a random sniper or wannabe bandits.
Problematic 71 Posted January 16, 2014 I'd take a couple more bandages just to be sure. I also álways have 1 bandage in my usable inventory (usually jacket) so I can get to them quick when I'm bleeding - you first have to open your FAK to get to it. It's just about shortening the time my character is losing blood. Also why is your axe in your backpack? Camouflage reasons? Agree with the people here on the food thing, it takes a long time to go from stuffed to ''I'm hungry''. No need to carry that much, I just have a few (1-3 backup food items and a canteen). If you visit towns regularly you don't need any extra food in your backpack.
