Double zoom

Hi !

 

As a new player I've been wondering how to double zoom with a rifle. In fact in many videos (in Dayz Mod and Standalone) streamers can double zoom by clicking the right mouse button and by holding it after but it seems impossible for me to do it ? Maybe it is because of my M4, is it only doable with a Mosin ?

Only doable with the long range scope for the Mosin I think

Other weapons could zoom-in on the mod, but in the SA it is only the 8x mosin scope as mentioned above (for now).

 

Alternatively you could go to your video settings and drop your FoV all the way down and you'll be pretty much double your normal "right-click" ADS view.  A little clunky but it enables you to be pretty zoomed in with a PSU scope.

The "zoom" feature is missing from the standalone. I find this incredibly irritating.

Instead, when entering iron sights, your gun zooms in about halfway - too much zoom for close quarters, too little zoom for longer ranges.






By the way, it's not double zoom. It's not even zoom at all.

ACOG 4X scope








The ACOG is 4X the zoomed in level. Therefore the zoomed in level is 1X magnification.

yup, pretty annoying but were used to it.
