Military locations unequilibrated

Hi guys

 

I should admit that if you spawn on the west side of the map this game is entertaining, you have Cherno with lots of encounters, balota for military loots, military bases on Zelenogorsk, north Kamenka and South of Vibor, and the best of all the NWAF.

 

But if you spawn near Solnichni like i did the game is boring as hell, you find noone unless an unlucky fresh spawn like you, there are no military loot locations before NEAF and Berezino is just too quiet...

 

Please make the way to north in the east side of this map more attractive with rare loot locations cause the difference between the W/E will concentrate all players on a half part of it

I hate that place...it is useless shit and it's should be sunnyplace(from city-name) But i hate it every duckling time i spawn here, i yell by capslock many bad words..

The way the spawns are laid out is for balance.

The entire POINT of this game is to spend time getting geared up, and exploring new locations. 

Whats the point if you can get military gear in the first 5 minutes of game play?

I spawned near Solichny when I randomly died a couple weeks ago, I made the 8km trek to my friend in about 3 hours, searching and looting cities along the way when I could or needed to.  By the time I made it to him, I had an M4A1, couple magazines, mountain backpack, camo, etc.  The point of the game is to forage and scrounge for your supplies.  Not spawn near a military installation and get to deathmatching.

 

If that's what you're interested in, you can always keep killing yourself until you get spawned somewhere you like.  However, I'm hoping they put something in to fix that.  Should be pretty simple to put in a "If died in last 2 minutes, make wait additional 60 seconds".  A stacking timer so that if you killed yourself 5 times, you'd have to wait 2 minutes, 3 minutes, and 4 minutes, and then 5 minutes the final death, for your respawn.

The northern part of the map has a lot of changes planned for it, theres already road networks up there showing where 3 new large towns will be.

Until then here's a Top Tip, if you don't like the spawn locations try not dying so often.

 

Death is meant to suck, spawning right on top of all the end game loot ruins any sense of progression you get from having to start over again and make your way to the high value areas.

Yeah this is my first post but i play the mod since the beginning, i am not complaining about not having a m4 after 5 minutes, but about the fact that its is easy to do on one part of the map and really difficult on the other side

I quite like spawning on  the east side of the map. Berezino is a really nice town and people there are usually friendly unlike elektro/cherno. And why are you complaining about loot on the NE side? Rify ship has pretty good loot and exclusive items that you cant find anywhere else and NE airfield is usually empty of people. The whole right side of the map is loot city because idiots are too busy deathmatching it up on the west side in Balota and NW airfield.

i love spawning east side, and the majority of people seem to be spawning there, the portion committing suicide, well i'm hoping they get locked into east side spawns constantly, or better yet teleported out to sea and have "stop being a shitcunt" flashing in big red letters across their screen. 

 

just get used to it, you say you've played the mod since the beginning? then you should know exactly what to do, and how to get everything you need, so what's the problem? you don't like having to go a couple of extra kilometers to get a weapon? too bad.

If it's one good post, it's better than the hundred or so posts of crap other people have said to get a "High Post Count".

 

Also, I agree with him. South Coast to Mid-West is where the maps loaded. They added Riffy and Guba but left crap loot in them.

I find leather shoes in houses all the time, but rify is NOT crap! It is an awesome sight.

People forget that dayZ isn't meant to be fun at the moment, it is just a testing stage for development.

Am I to assume you have been spawning with your legs broken?

 

This is the intention, mate. You're not supposed to spawn next to the good stuff. Strap on your jogging shoes, rub some Vaseline on your nipples, tighten your belt, and most importantly of all quit your bitching. Holy shit.

Ok i should certainly explain better my suggestion...

 

I play this game since beginning of the mod, i just have nothing to do with good stuff etc... cause if you are attached to your gear this game is not made for you, you will always loose it.

 

For me the thing that keep me playing this game already is that you try to survive in a world where every single step you made could be the last, and this is because other players can be anywhere next to you, this is the key of this game, interaction between players (or npc like zeds but its more basic...)

 

Thinking this way,and playing the SA my suggestion of equilibrating military locations as come naturaly:

 

Where did you find players? near Cherno and valuable spawn loots -> military locations  but also in a zone of the map near.

 

Thats why the axe Balota/North Kamenka/Zelenogorsk/Vibor/NWAF is too strong compared to nowhere else in the map in term of player traffic.

 

I agree with the fact that the addition of new military locations is a bad idee, the "high end loot" ,if we can say that of an M4 or a Mosin, should be far from spawn points, the mod were better more equilibrated with 2 airfield at NW and NE and Stary in the center, and crash site randomly placed, Balota should be changed it just became a paradise for bambi's snipers.

 

In the mod no place is safe except wilderness, cause players have not a strong axe to follow, but in the SA i spawn in Solnichny and going to NEAF i just loose this feeling of fear : i played on a full server but i just encounter noone except one or two fresh spawn totaly unarmed, and best of all i just run along the streets of Berezino, things i would never have done on the mod if you really try to survive, without any problems.

 

So my suggestion is : you can either delete some bases in west to place them in the center and east of the map or just put a few number of military locations on the far east/west and center of the map so that when you study your map you will not find "secure" way that avoid you this feeling of never being on security anywhere.

 

I am sorry if my first post was less detailed but my english is bad so its hard to do long post like this one.

The map will change in the future. All towns and villages will be redone/improved. There will be new points of interest everywhere, also on the east side of chernarus. You got for example the sunken ship on the east side and I can imagine some more coast-side stuff being implented at the east coast.
