Cans of Food.

We all know how easy it is to find food. So I am proposing this. Cans of food should almost always spawn open, half eaten or empty. 

This way, you have to make the choice: do I eat this? Or do I keep searching for those elusive sealed containers.

I kinda like the way it currently is, you should be able to tell if its ok to eat anyway in my opinion.

I think if the damage system was working on food items, it would basically be similar to what you're suggesting - ruined cans could be spoiled, badly damaged might not be full and/or cause food poisoning, etc.
