Blooddmg of Weapons -> one shots

Hi everyone

 

Theres just my huble opinion on the weapons which are currently in the game. Especially about the Moisin and future Weapons.

 

I just think there shoudnt be any one shot weapons in this game. We took rifles like the AS50 and so on out of the mod because of that reason. So why going back to one shot kills? Its just a bad mechanic when somebody is able to sneek up on you and kill you with shooting you in the leg. You can kill anybody with a headshot and thats allright with me, even tough you can prevent that with a helmet (? confrimed?)

 

The Moisin should knock you out tough because it shoots really slowly and only got 5 bullets.

 

Another mechanic could be, that we have certain rifles like the moisin which break your leg pretty quikly so theres still a reason to use them even tough they don't kill you instantly.

Or another idea of mine would be a knock-down mechanic where you would be knocked down to the ground for 3-10 secs and prevent movement. So it would not knock you out but still there would be a little extra to guns like the moisin...

 

What do you guys think? Should there be any one shot kill weapon? Probably only one or two which are really really rare... ?

This stuff can kill you in one shot, I don't see any problem with one-shot kills provided(!), provided you hit the right place, and I don't mean only the head.

I don't believe that was the actual reason they were removed.

1 shot kill - no

1 shot make unconscious - yes

 

It is almost the same in 1 vs 1 fight, but it make more action in bigger encounters.

 

You friend is laying down bleeding out, you know there is someone in the forest, tic tac my friend...

I've shot someone point blank in their leg and they survived. It depends on the distance and where the bullet hits.

I believe the Mosin works as it should. You can break legs by shooting them and if a 7.62 hits you anywhere in the upper torso you're going down. Fuck gameplay, a bandage isn't fixing that.

 

Ballistic helmet will give protection but only to the portion it covers. You take one to the face even whilst wearing a helmet you should go down.

 

This game is not about making survival easy, whether it's against players or the environment. All weapons should be capable of a one shot to the head. Should be capable of completely disabling a person at close range (depending on where you hit them) and from there damage drops off with range. There are the Assault vests, press vests which already provide protection.

 

We really don't need this whole 'Nerf everything so I can survive and run away' bullshit. We need players to man up and take their loss like a boss.

They were removed because they couldn't be made as rare as they should have been due to duping and hacking.

In reality it should have been rarer than the helicopters.

I don't have any problem with 1HK, 1 hit KO ends the same way 99% of the time.

However, I think that leg shots should only have potential to knockout, and upper torso should more or less instakill with many guns.

If anything good/ just rare was added in the standalone you would want to make sure duping isn't easy.

Is he only talking about guns? Fireman's Axe is 1 hit kill, and the chunk of metal on the end of that in your head would definately end your day badly.

I think melee needs to be more random.

It's hard to speculate how much damage melee weapons do, I guess in most cases you're doing more damage than you think you are.

I wouldn't mind seeing more breakable bones at which melee weapons could specialise in doing,
