trialsiain13 3 Posted January 13, 2014 this is what should happen. the view around the scope shouldnt zoom in as well http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/Flogger23m/rogame2013-05-1609-48-20-84_zps18cc7b01.jpg
commanderbash 102 Posted January 13, 2014 to do that their system had to do a double render which was a real performance hit, there are less performance impacting options that will give less spectacular results. the devs of RO2 did a writeup on it say they'd do it differently if they did it again, certain things like the view warping around the edge of the glass which doesn't happen enough even in real life to be noticeable. if you want something to be added for realism, add parallax adjustment on the high power scopes IRL you won't see anything but blur for about 50m in front of you if you have a 10x scope set to 100-200m parallax. I dare it. This is very plausible considering at the moment, the game only utilizes 20% of your GPU, but like 80% of your CPU. Once we hit Beta and everything is balanced out and optimized, I see no problem with this.
deewd22 32 Posted January 14, 2014 Why don't they just blur the surrounding of zoomable scopes?
TEST_SUBJECT_83 465 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I would like to be able to just use Alt to look into the sight and then look away to view your surroundings, for non zooming sights of course.I think that would be a neat feature. Click on the screenshot to see video - Just pretend the sight is centered of course :) Edited April 28, 2014 by TEST_SUBJECT_83
irishroy 1347 Posted April 28, 2014 Why don't they just blur the surrounding of zoomable scopes?blur also means lots of power from the gpu, AFAIK
