Donoda 0 Posted January 12, 2014 Hi guys just downloaded the demo ARMA2 - and it runs fine on my laptop.Question now ... does DayZ will work similar on my laptop as on ARMA2? thanks.
weparo 613 Posted January 12, 2014 Similar yes. DayZ is a bit tougher for the hardware, but basically yes. What quality presets did you run? The visibility in the SA is 3+ clicks. If you run 4 clicks fine in ARMA:OA you should be fine. High pop servers and cherno/elektro will still bring your fps down though.

boneboys 7988 Posted January 12, 2014 Post your specs here. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154395-can-i-run-dayz-retail-post-here/
Mos1ey 6301 Posted January 12, 2014 Boneboys suggestion of posting your specs and asking the community is the best idea IMO. "Can I Run It" will let you know if you can run the game, but a human will be able to give you a rough idea of how the game will actually perform. Being able to run a game is very different from being able to run a game at a playable level.

True however I have found that it tends to be realistic with the further to the right you are, the better the fps :) Still, you should get the best of both worlds! Yeah, it's still sketchy though. I tend not to recommend it to people as they might see they're around the min. requirements and then not be happy when they're struggling with poor performance on low settings.
