7 Ideas for Standalone

Recommended Posts

A handful of ideas, can already thought of them or can serve as a bridge to other ... Or maybe some worth.
My English is very basic, sorry.

1. Random boxes with basic survival kits on the coast.
- The concept is as the title , but what you might assume , I call different levels of battles. We understand that if respawns are on the beaches , maybe this could generate the same there, a pvp recently appeared composed mostly of players battle for survival.
- We could understand ( for example) that causes appear on the beach are a shipwreck or a plane crash and surviving these accidents occur in a scenario of zombie holocaust , and right there the first dilemma now arises fight with survivors from the remains of the plane (Al purest hunger Games style. ) ally myself with them and deal- it , leaving behind the stage and go directly to towns or cities.
- The kits you could find would be very basic , backpacks, food and drink, very rarely a weapon, then once achieved, would you choose to look no more ...
-----------------------------------------------------
 2 . System missions = achievements
- The lure of survival is very funny, but short - term it can stabilize it , I propose a system of missions furnish all kinds of challenges . I 'm not talking about making this a GTA .
REALISM - To respect the realism of the game these missions may appear on bulletin boards in some cities, or create an external board in the Startup screen ...
MISSIONS - The missions bulletin boards , may contain individual assignments and group missions.
a) I will not get to have bitten me , I hid in X place ... (you have to pick up the paper on bulletin board in place to enable mission X , Y object this site.)
b ) (Team ) retains X town where you have to turn antenna and get the activation lasts a while without another player 's turn . Reward can be safe from the sky ...
c ) (Team ) Defender X instead of X Survivors ... etc ... etc ... Incentives team play . Or get rewards.
EVOLUTION - can even respect the evolutionary system of the game and still be as a guide to start at the beginning on the beach find on the floor, a survival book or papers are warning of a zombie holocaust , in the first towns and cities , posters on the walls, to inspect trigger that mission , that the world is over, you are looking for life, or watch the bandits later ...
ACHIEVEMENTS - Mas that bind me to steam achievement system , would create a system of achievements dayz with them to keep a clear achievement of individual survival i ROL team .
- Actually , this point could be extended to many things.
-----------------------------------------------------
3 . System clans or factions
- Some system to have peer - is located , maybe an object, or walkie-talkie located at a specific frequency .
- The possibility to link - it to other players in the game , although it is very minimal is something I always like to find multiplayer games .
-----------------------------------------------------
4 . Neutral city- Maybe some npc 's in turrets with an almost perfect aim defending a people could create a neutral environment, as is typical Mad Max 3 , where the trade would be possible. Where survivors prefer not fire for fear of dying .
- It could also be an incentive for experienced clans, the overthrow that people or intercept traders way.
- This would be a new dimension of trade possibilities filled , friendly treatment between survivors and possibility a richer interaction among survivors.
-----------------------------------------------------
5 . States > Sites > Objects
- Some states might only be solvable in specific parts of the game, in the hospital instead of X is the only place where there is still a machine in good condition to analyze or treat my disease or health problem and also know that need MEDICATION .
-----------------------------------------------------
6. random events
- Sound the sirens in every village and built large sites. Nuclear ! Attack! , A voice sounds occasionally , if X number of antennas is not activated in X time ( generous timers in some cities ) , a nuclear attack is carried out, considering that the site is infested with zombies , all survivors will die unless they confirm that the area is safe . Suddenly you have a change plans , you 're all going to activate , alliances and betrayals later ... etc form ... Or maybe one decides to live in a zombie world, it is better to die and defend all the antennas.
- Events generated by players, as can be : dam break ( or tool- specific object , door keys ) and city flood , its previous alarm in the city, its possible solution : go to the dam and fix generators ...
-----------------------------------------------------
7. Daily survivors
- A diary to kill a survivor you know something more about him , nick , path , maybe the dead before dying himself write message as it dies....
-----------------------------------------------------
Thx for read.

The main idea behind DayZ is that it is our story - we are the ones who need to fill the world with things to do.  You want to create missions, then write it on a piece of paper (once they work again) and leave it on a table somewhere.

I don't think the Devs are going to go down the route of providing or initiating anything except creating the world and letting us all loose in it.

Once the mechanics of the game are done, that's it, we are on our own.
