Taskmanager have to be open

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Im totally new here and to this Game, never played the mod.

I have an weird bug, my Taskmanager must be opened that i can play without graphical "hookes". So i have that feeling that FPS ist not the Problem when Taskmanager ist not opened but something doesnt work. The hookes make the Game not playable, so i have to have the Taskmanager all the time opened.

Its not such an big Problem for me, but for help i would be thankfull. All graphical Options are set like recommended from FPS Guides.

Specs.

Win 7 64bit

Intel I5

ATI HD 4800

Im not sure if its an Game Bug or something from my Computer.

What I want to know is how you discovered this. A bit like the first person who thought milking a cow was a good idea.

I'm actually going to give this a go, heh.

OP - Will report back on my findings.

AndarneEdit: OP, you might've hit on something. I did a quick benchmark without the TMger, then one with it open, and a final one without it.

When the task manager is open I gained around 7-11 frames where I logged in. Without it, they drop to poor levels.

I searched for an solution for the stuttering, in many games it helps lf you let the game run only on 1 or 2 cores instead of 4 ( f.e. KSP) So i tried this a little bit and than i saw that it isnt an difference how much cores i have on or not , but if i close my taskmanager instantly having back the stuttering

Going to have to try this out see what kind of result I get.  Will report back.

EDIT: This did not have any effect on my system.
