Character lost?

I joined a server,and I was stuck in the ''please wait'' black screen, so I left to the menu and joined again. Surprise I spawned in the coast with no objects or anything, just like a fresh spawn. I didn't die while I was stuck in the ''please wait'' screen because my brother was there and he didn't even see my character spawn. I know this is alpha, but running around for hours to get good gear and then losing it for no reason sucks...

Sometimes that happens when you join and log out and rejoin (same or other server) too fast, because your character can't be saved in time.

The only thing you can do about it (afaik) is waiting a bit more, but clearly wipes have to be expected, for one reason or another :(

I losing 5 day character full health with beautiful gear in north west of map :o

 

I was disappoint for maybe 10 seconds :|

 

then I remember I read warning from devs before I buy and I accept sometime shit is happening ;)

 

so I start new life and continue to play with irony smile on my face :)

It has happened to me several times as well. :/ It seems that the "Please wait..." text doesn't seem to go away for me either, but logging in and out does seem to work. Most of the time I don't have issues, but once and a while I get totally wiped clean and have to start over. Oh well, we were warned though.  <_<

 

I just hope it can be fixed soon. Hang in there!

same here also :) imo its more enoying when u meet up whit friends and then one of u get a char whipe...takes long time to regrp

It happened to me plenty, after I posted a thread about it, I was told not to server hop, which I don't do.
