Mosin unscoped vs M4

What would you rather pick for general self defence? Going to guide a few friends few Elektro and need one of the other.

M4 is way better than unscoped mosin. But its best to carry a pistol, scoped mosin on ur back, and upgraded M4 in your hands.

If you find a PU scope, the mosin dominates the M4 with anything.

The mosin shoots to the left of where the crosshair is aimed, you can't reload it with the scroll wheel and it's bolt action and often doesn't kill in one shot.  I'd rather have an M4 for anything closer than 75m.  However if you prefer long distance encounters the mosin dominates.

The thing about the m4 is there isn't much down time. More rounds per mag. Reloading is very quick. With accuracy, the less power from the M4 doesn't matter. Shoot single shots and prone with bipod for long range. When the target is at a far distance I can get it killed as fast or faster then the Mosin. With the Mosin you are vulnerable often, especially in a fire fight where you have to reload.

Mosin without a doubt. Even at close quarters, it's a beast if you know how to properly use it with your surroundings.

M4 fits the bill for everything I need. Sure, you can mosin me from over 30000 yards away, still have to come loot me :p
