Why Doesn't the Controller Work?/Movement Assignment

Hey guys, looking forward to playing - but I got some questions : ( Gonna try to knock out two in one post as to not clog the forums.

 

I searched the forums, in an effort to try not to clog them, but it seems it wasn't clearly resolved. Do I NEED third party software to assign stuff to my controller...?

 

Also, I'm trying to assign the right mouse button to move forward, (and I have deleted the clashing assignments for other functions) and the game won't accept it. It keeps zooming in when I click my right mouse button. What's up with that?

I really can't imagine how you'd be able to play with a controller in such a pvp centric game.

 

First of all it's a simulator, this it has a lot of controls for various different nuances of movement and manipulation.

Second it's a FPS, people using mouse and keyboard will always be faster and better than you.

 

I just don't see how it'd be fun.
