resin_ 97 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Yes, my buddy has managed to play with HD4000 on his Asus laptop (while traveling), but expect some hiccups even on low. Edited January 9, 2014 by Resin_
sonicrainbrony 136 Posted January 9, 2014 Expect a LOT of hiccups. Like, 10 FPS max.

dakisback 39 Posted January 9, 2014 You know Intel HD graphics has like 5 different series right? Do you have Intel HD graphics; 1st gen,2000,3000,4000,5200? 4000/5200 will run the game whereas the first 3 will not.

I don't know. I just read what the spec on my computer said.
Karmaterror 982 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Did you get the info from Dxdiag? If not try this to find your series number... 1, Hit start2, In the search bar type "dxdiag" (without quotes) and hit enter3, On the DxDiag screen, hit the display tab4, On there somewhere (i think in top left) should be your info Edited January 9, 2014 by Karmaterror
TIC 1050 Posted January 9, 2014 I hear even Intel HD Family can run DayZ retail.
-Gews- 7443 Posted January 9, 2014 Yes you can run it, FPS won't be high but it won't be 5 either. Source: personal experience : (
ThisTiger 0 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Is it worth buying after hearing from all of you? : ) Edited January 9, 2014 by ThisTiger
sonicrainbrony 136 Posted January 9, 2014 Is it worth buying after hearing from all of you? : )Not with an integrated graphics processor. So no. Get a discrete graphics card and then buy the game, since the experience at low settings in 7 FPS isn't an experience at all, it's a nightmare.
korpisoturi (DayZ) 127 Posted January 9, 2014 I played with 5 year old laptop during holidays, It had ati hd4650.Was able to play but needles to say that it was quite laggy even at lowest settings. Also don't know if it was the bad internet connection or what but my character got wiped :(
supermarco 64 Posted January 9, 2014 I loved the fact that even with a r9 280x dayz is lagging in ultra ubber full :p (still good tho) Looking forward for the optimisation :D <
Mopp_94 29 Posted January 9, 2014 It'll run, but likely not well. I am aware that the 4000 series is quite powerful in its own right, but the performance cost of DayZ combined with its lack of good optimization at this stage in development will likely cause you to have Issues. Obviously I'd say the same anyone would and advise you investing in a dedicated video card before picking up the game.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Personally I would not buy the game if I was going to be running on an integrated graphics chip. It will run the game, assuming you're on a decent i5 or something, but it will not perform particularly well. It's up to you though. If you have any more questions please use the dedicated "Can I Run DayZ Retail?" topic, which you can find here...http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154395-can-i-run-dayz-retail-post-here/ Thanks!
