So when they add helicopters into the game I think some thing along the lines of an MI 2 would fit with Chernarus more so then a UH Huey. The Mi 2 was used by the USSR and others as a basic utility helicopter, ( more information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-2)

Or even better, a Hind, but instead of hydra rockets, it fires canisters of audomonium sulfide (essentially flaming gas) over a 30 meter radius, and then you can rappel down in a fireproof suit...

Not sure they will use helis in the mod if they are looking to make an authentic post apocalyptic world. I saw the idea for microlights somewhere and I think that would be pretty good though

Yeah, I agree but somewhere I saw a file of the standalone and saw a helicopter one. I am not really saying that I want helicopters in the game but if they do get added at  least make them fit in with the background of the story.

The Mi-17, both military and civilian, were in the Mod.  So they already have models for those.  They were a beast to fly, so heavy!

I don't think anyone has played TOH (take on helicopters), if you thought it was hard in the mod. Good luck man.  

 

On another note the Ka 26 has a cool look and is used by some farmers. Though it is not as common as the mi2 or mi8.

As much as I like the little bird I would like to see some choppers with more civilian feel.

If we have military choppers I'd prefer some big Mi-7 ones from abandoned military evacuation operations.

Cool thing about the ka 26 is that the back cargo space can be removed and a whole new pod could be added to the back. So you could have one for transporting 6 people or crop dusting equipment to dust your crop fields.

Yeah that's how I feel, but if they are going to add helicopters make them fit in with the story.

Edit: I'm sure the TOH controls would cut down on the people that actually know how to fly/start up.

Personally I would like to see something like the Mi-26 Added, Hands down my favorite Helicopter.

Mi-6 was its predecessor, and many nearly a thousand Mi-6s were made.

As far as i know, the Mi-26 is only used by russia.
