in the North are some streets in the woods and uncomplet looking areas.. is the Map still in progress?
Is there an offical statement about it somewhere?

The map is still in the progress. Read devs twitters. Brian mentioned when he was working on a bugfix that some guy was doing some town stuff.

No, it is an ongoing project. If you venture past the northern airfields, you will see dirt roads and empty areas where they are planning on adding more in.

And a lot more than that. There is a full highway system and the train tracks have been extended from Berenzino all the way through the North to the West side of the map. There are some "starter" towns up there already and a few other hidden jewels. Once I got geared up I started exploring up there a lot.

I wish there was more rivers and canals that went inland, that way boats are a little more useful.
