Long range scope bug?

Recommended Posts

I noticed that the Mosin with a long range scope shoots slightly to the left even when prone with bipod. Is the scope grid bugged or something?

I don't know if it's the same for iron sights and PU scope, because I didn't test it. Can someone confirm if the inaccuracy is only for the long range scope or the whole Mosin?

There should really be a disclaimer when you click start new topic that warns of impending doom if you don't know use the search function before you post.

A  simple fix would be that you can't make a new thread unless you have 100 posts.

Would fix alot of the crap threads we have been seeing lately.

Why? Some players come here to ask something which hasn't been asked before. My first topic was about grenade damage. I searched before posting, and nobody had posted anything about it before.

It should suggest some topics with the same or roughly the same title when you're creating a topic.

Not really, I noticed is more or less random lel :/ . At 700-800 metters the bullet either goes left or right. It's very difficult to shoot at that distance even with a bypod. I'm sure the weapons will be tweaked as soon as Dean gets back at work.

Most of you people obviously know nothing of wind trajectory.

The bug is not that it moves a bit left even with a bipod, the bug is that it ONLY moves left and not in random paths judging from the strength and angle of the wind.

Are you sure about that?

From what I understand, wind effect on the bullet is already implemented, but it's buggy, and only deviates the bullet trajectory to the left. Is that what you mean?

In your original post you asked if the scope grid is bugged because it went to the left, many others say the scope is only bugged because it goes a bit to the left; are you all expecting it to be bang on sight down the crosshairs?

What I am saying is that the majority of the time, you will not hit a target exactly on the crosshairs unless you take wind trajectory in to account and elevation.

Rifle scopes come with dials to adjust for wind and elevation as do M4 Iron sights and other various sights.

Hence, the bug is that it ONLY moves to the left slightly in game. It should move both left and right depending on the wind angle and speed.

based on my testing - I've been methodically testing Mosins, the Mosins have durability just like scopes and bipods.  The game is bugged and doesn't show gun condition though.  The worse condition the gun is in the worse the accuracy, though in general it seems to pull more to the left the worse it is.
