Individual Character Resets

Something that is really starting to bother me, and I know it's affecting more than me is random character resets. Please do not comment talking about how this game is still in "Alpha" because I do understand that, but when I have been playing on one character without dying and the server restarts or something and I join back in and I have nothing, it's kind of upsetting. A lot of my friends are experiencing this too, they log in and have nothing. It's happened to us probably 6 times since release and I just think it would be awesome if something could be resolved here or if someone could shed some light on this issue.

I know there are obviously many other issues people are experiencing and this is just one that I thought is important and quite frustrating. :(

It's an alpha. It's happened to me more than a few times. Sure being geared up is fun but gearing to me is equally as fun. You'll just have to learn to deal with it until it's solved. It's being worked on.

ya starting out with nothing is cool,I just got a mossin a while ago with no bullets and its so cool because Its the best thing I really have atm.

 

all these 308,m4 and hand gun bullets cant help me here :/

Hence the reason, the product page has a giant disclaimer at the top of it that says you shouldn't purchase this game unless you want to support the development and understand there will issues like this during the alpha/beta.

 

Your problem is you're getting too attached to your stuffs.  The real fun of DayZ is starting with nothing.  There is no limit to the madcap hijinks you can engage in as a newspawn with little to no danger of losing anything significant.

 

The point of the alpha isn't for you to have the most happy fun time experience possible without any interruption in game service or your character progress.  Expect interruption in game service.  Expect to lose your character progress.  Expect random deaths to occur.

 

What you can you do about it?  Fall through a wall?  Report it.  Find a bug?  Report it.  Instead of just complaining about it, help get these problems fixed.
