Not any time soon.

Believe it or not, the developers DON'T want everyone to buy the game in its current state which is why they chose not to put it on sale during the Steam Winter Sale.

If they ever put it on sale, it will be after release.  And it will be full price then, and most likely be discounted back down to what it is now.

It's better to buy it now, support development, and enjoy the lowest price it will ever be.

It's on sale, the price will soon increase and this is an Early Access Offer, you should be scraping some money to buy it now :) :emptycan:

Putting the game on sale now would be very unfair to everyone that paid full price for it in the last couple of weeks. I highly doubt that it will go on sale any time soon.

Isn't the game basically on sale now? I imagine they're taking the Arma 3 approach no? Cheap alpha, kinda cheap beta, then full price release with sales?

Unlikely, mainly because it's still being talked about and more people are buying copies each day.

You're deluded.

they relesed it before xmas tho, and u know how much Money they get just becuse of that? i would guess around 6000000 Euros and that is only for the early release and this is only from 250000 survivors. And that is me giving them a low nummber on this. But who wouldent just pass the 600000 Euros just to relase it one week later or 2 ^^ . Im only saying .I expected more from these guys tho. And i only think (before getting the erly alpha shout in my face) they have promised to much and cant hold it . And this is my opinon . sorry for the bad last post... waas mad!!...

You're deluded.

And how do you work that out?

Dean has, on multiple occasions, tried to dissuade players from buying the game in it's current state - that's a fact.

He'd rather most players waited and bought it later than right now where testers are needed, not players.

It won´t be going on sale anytime soon.

Good news is though that the price isn´t going to be increasing anytime soon either, and when ti will they will inform people well ahead (or atleast that much was promised).

And indeed they do not want people to be buying it at the moment.

So you want the game for $8 :|

Won't happen. Either go mow a lawn or shovel some snow and get the other $20 or move on to another game.

Before shelling out $30 for this game, I thought hard and long about it.  I usually mull over $0.99 app purchases and I'm use to being paid to test alpha/beta software/games, but...

a) I intended to purchase DayZ at some point.

b) The full release won't be available for at least another year.

c) watching a game develop with new features and stuff is entertaining and interesting.

So, now I've been enjoying DayZ and have no problems with the $30 it cost. The experiences I've had already in the game are priceless.
