CPU or GPU, whats the problem?

Recommended Posts

Turns out it was 8.1.

Running this game on windows 7 right now and at max settings i'm pushing 80FPS in cherno.

I'm not going to change my os for a game! LOL... they had better optimize this shit for current/future operating systems.

Funny enough, if you watch "how to increase fps in Battlefield 4", they always recommend Windows 8.1 for better performance.

And you're absolutely right, 99% of games run perfect, even better so on Windows 8.1, but the devs are working on windows 7 machines, and have invested the time to make it work flawlessly on them, meanwhile not optimizing it for the new operating systems. Now, this being alpha it is perfectly understandable and my hopes are that they will address this issue very soon.

But for the time being, It gave me an excuse to buy yet another SSD to load Win7 on.

Hi, my first post on this forum.

I'm also slightly disappointed with my frame-rate.

I've got an i7 3770 (not the k!)

Radeon HD 7850 2GB

16GB RAM

1920x1080

and only get about 40 frames in cities. I played around quite a bit with the settings, but I don't want to turn down to many of the graphics, would it be worth overclocking the GPU? It's at stock "high performance" at the moment. If anyone got any input, I'd be grateful.

EDITED to say: Obviously 40 frames are ok, but these dip to around 27-30 when recording, which is what I'm trying to fix/improve/optimize.
