djkling 5 Posted June 22, 2012 So, I'm not going to get back to the "start with a gun" debate, but in a survival situation you would need to grab things that are handy around you. Even a club in the form of a big stick or 2x4 would be useful when NO other weapon is available. Why could we not assume you wake up with some form of improvised weapon (tool such as crobar or axe; makeshift items such as wood boards, etc). It may be more psychological, but I'm ALWAYS more willing to explore if i can at least fight back... even if its fairly futile...Second topic. Clearing towns. I dont think zombies should respawn while you are around. I'm not sure if they do. BUt maybe using te existing arma mechanic we could have groups of survivors clear entire towns and generate small safe-zones. With the number of Zeds you'd need a few people and weapons plus a lot of noise, so it would encourage banding together. I propose that once a town is taken, no more zombie spawns BUT no more gear spawns except what was there first. If everyone leaves, once the last person is gone, a 1 hour cooldown and then the town reverts.

tl140 3 Posted June 22, 2012 love the idea except i think 1 hour is WAY too long. plus with places like cherno and elektro you have people constantly coming in and out. they would never really reset
