yes...dry ,clean, socks are a integral part of surviving.

the condition of your shoes w(s)hould have a BIG impact on your ability to jog for hours to no end.

The condition of your SOCKS should have a impact on your sickness level too...

Say...you have pristine running shoes or a pair of pristine jungle boots.

And some worn "mountain socks" or "sports socks" in pristine condition.

Wich one whould you take ?

Also: the boots you wear need to have an impact on how much noise you make while moving.

Shoes should wear down faster if you travel difficult terrain.

Socks need to be washed and desinfected to offer some protection and influence on how fast your shoes go back to normal after beign exposed to water for too long.

also...let us spawn without socks or shoes.

This would be a cool feature, imho. As well there might fit then also such things as FOOTWRAPS (or foot cloths).

an excellent idea.

I was thinking of something along those lines as well.

Say, your feet get wet and stay wet for too long. You begin to develop foot rot. If left unchecked, could lead to reduced movement speed as your feet fall apart. eventually leading to infection, sickness, and possibly death (would take a looong time to get to that point).

To alleviate the symptoms, one would need antibiotics at the infection stage, and prevention could be achieved with foot powder...

Edit: Beans to you, op.
