khodan 0 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) T4R.Arma didn't run so good on my computer so I was wondering if the standalone is better optimized and runs better than arma. Edited January 4, 2014 by khodan
Bakercompany86 347 Posted January 4, 2014 This is a poor time to ask this question. It's in alpha. So it's not optimized yet. After time, the community can better answer that question. For now, the answer is probably no.
fluxley 2228 Posted January 4, 2014 For me the standalone plays a lot smoother than the mod did, not a lot of difference in actual frame rate though, but as said, its early days, they haven't done any real client side optimisation yet so we should start to see some real improvements over time. martink8190@gmail.com 149 Posted January 4, 2014 I'd say it's about the same. Arma 3 MP runs like shit for me but SP is silky smooth. Dayz SA runs smooth with some freezes even outside of towns so I say it's down to the unoptimized alpha & servers thing. Really depends on your PC
brzator47@gmail.com 524 Posted January 4, 2014 The mod still runs noticeably better for me at similar video settings.
csharp 47 Posted January 4, 2014 I have a little bit poorer performance in SA, but i have optimized my a2 pretty well for my computer. I would say that SA runs smoother in a way since servers seem to run better and i don't get fps drops as much, so it runs smoother but with less FPS. A2Dayz i have around 90fps in Berezino, 50-60 in SA. Then again i think i have better fps in wilderness in SA.
