Character Slot

I know perma death is a huge thing and makes the game what it is, but if I'm playing with a group of ppl as a team every night and want to play when ppl are logged off too another character slot would really help. Even if its just one other, thats fine cause I can have my guy I play alone with and my guy I play with friends. Its just a little annoying and time consuming to always travel to my group or have to run into bandits on the way, without my team, def a late development but I just wanted to express my idea. It can also be server specific like the first person servers.

I'd rather have 1 character for the public hive,then have the other ones for each private hive I play on.

Right here. I think once private hives come along that will help.

 

I play on the experimental server when it is up just to have a guy to mess around with. It also helps the devs to have more people play so they get the info they need. Plus the weather effects are CRAZY.

its not a bad idea if limited to what you said, having two separate characters.  Problem is that most people will use the second character as a back up keeping them in the same area and logging in with the second if the first one dies to try and get vengeance and their gear back. 

 

playing on different private hives will allow you to do exactly what your saying once they come out

Keep the one toon idea..I would like to see us however have the ability to set our spawn point to a select amount of locations.

I think it's a pretty good idea.

 

You can actually have several characters. You just need to change your Steam name to get a new one. If you change it back your old one will still be there.

I just feel like server hopping for loot would sky rocket, people would use them as pack mules to stockpile ammo and gear..

What you're saying here is, I can gear up my dude named Creature and go park him at NWAF, log out, change my steam name, get another character geared and go start trouble at the NWAF. When I'm shot I simply change names and I'm fully geared and ready for revenge.

I agree with the guys who hate the idea. We've seen how it works in WarZ and it is abused beyond imagination. It would be a mule and backup guy for the fights. When we have separate hives for 1st and 3rd person, then it's okay. Also private hives will come so we have that one going.

Guys, one server I would play in my group using my main. The other character wouldn't be allowed to join that server. Given I already have one character in tht server. When u log out of a character, it saves ur last server so it can actually work out if its server specific. I understand how ppl would take advantage n thats a way to stop it.
