Gear Regained following DDoS attack but moved on map

1. My gear is now restored just as it was before the DDoS attack. 

 

2. I am still in the town I respawned in after my gear was wiped.

At this prompting, I logged back in.

 

Gear restored, and in my prior position- despite having respawned fresh a few times.

well i got my gear back. Though i didn't stick long enough for my char data to get wiped. If you played wiped character and the databases came back online ;)  you are in for a F

Last time this happened my friends and I found that if you were playing as a freshspawn when everything came back up you would not retain your gear.  But if you were not playing when it came back up you would retain your gear.
