Animals already in DayZ SA?

HI everyone,

 

I've searched but didn't find any answer - are there already animals in DayZ SA? I am only playing for 3 days, but today I encountered a rabbit in the fields... the very first animal (apart from dem birds) I have seen :)

 

(could not kill it tough, was Axe-resistant)

The only animals in the game at this point are rabbits and birds, neither of which you can hunt yet... plans are to add deer, boar, rats, and something else I can't remember at the moment. This was a statement made by Rocket on one of his Twitch streams.

I believe I saw, in one of the videos online, rabbits. But they are like non-interactive objects instead of meat sources. Waiting for the deers!!!

I tried to shoot this poor bunny wabbit, just couldn't though. Look at his little face! He was somebody's pet, or he is the owner of the house  :huh:
