What tools are useful?

Just started playing standalone and notice that there are a lot of different tools like wrenches, screwdrivers etc and was just wondering if they have any in game use at the moment or if they're just random loot and weapons.

Anything like tools that are sharp or pointy can open food cans, things like monkey wrenches can be used as a piss weak weapon...i have no idea what you can do with the normal wrench.

 

Anyhoo i would say the screwdriver would be the most useful "tool".

Some of them like the wrenches and acre drivers can open cans such as Tuna or beans. If you don't have a tool to open the can you are out of luck! :) this game is so fun.
