No one here insults an honest discussion unless it's stupid idea, then people let that be known. Posts like "we need radars that show other players shooting!" are going to get mobbed, posts asking for things to be removed are going to get mobbed, posts asking for the game to get dumbed down are going to be mobbed. This is Arma 2 and DayZ, one of the last remaining hardcore catering games and we will defend it to the last breath, so many other good games got destroyed to cater to the run and gun pewpewpewpew crowd.

@armadayz I feel ya man. I think it's the result of the game being very popular and it attracts many different types of people and internet egos. It's not only here either, I have seen it in other game forums. At times more worse than what is witnessed here.

One of the things I do personally to indirectly try to alleviate the issue is to not respond to the "@$$holes". Don't feed them. Totally ignore posts that have no meaning to the subject or do not provide any value to the discussion.

Oh it's hard as hell. Sometimes I am in the middle of making a response that is the exact issue we are discussing here. Most of the time I just close the page tab and go back to working without hitting 'POST REPLY'. MOST of the time.

Announce when entering a building that you are friendly or when spawning equip your flashlight to so you are unarmed.

I have actually more positive experiences this patch then before...

1 I entered a room and the guy in there said STOP! I won't shoot you... so we became neutral friends, giving each other ammo for our guns and ensuring we were safe... we parted ways and it was fine.

You just need to go slow and enter buildings that alter high targets for loot after presenting you are friendly...

I don't think probabilities work the way that you think they work. There's a much lower than 99% chance of them being a bandit.

I'm a friendly running around in a ghillie right now to make it easier to hide from bandits. If someone indicated to me that they were friendly and then shot me because of my ghillie, I'd be pissed and they'd be the asshole bandit in plain clothes.

Clothes no longer indicate whether or not someone is a bandit. Pretending that they do is just going to lead you to make snap judgements that are often wrong.

I do have to agree with OP, most people here are extremely cocky and egoistic. Rockets attitude to players and 'collecting tears' is basically what formed this. It's like pitting a bunch of hardcore players with average gamers, it doesn't work..

Yeah' date=' maybe there is a motive behind this? Did I use insults? Did I initiate fights? No Ive only echo'd them. I reported them without hostility. And that only got me more insults. See what I mean? The worst community. Ever.

You can't have a reliable alpha testing community if you are banning the only intelligent people and all you have left are the 13 year olds.

You dont understand. I never replied to hostility with hostility. I even reported it and just moved on. I got banned. I was provoked and many people are just straight up assholes with no reprocussions. It doesnt change because the same assholes are still here, being assholes.
