T_T Cannot respawn, stuck in a barren area.

Hello everyone. I tried to make a bug report. It would not accept the version number, even though it's taken directly from the start-up screen of the game.

 

I am stuck in a barren area with no trees, no foliage. I cannot see a treeline, even from the highest mountaintop. I cannot respawn, the button is greyed out. My character does not get thirsty, hungry, or exhausted. I tried putting a rubber ball on my keyboard overnight so he would at least run south into the ocean and drown. There is no ocean. Please, someone kill me. Dear god this is annoying. 

 

EDIT: In-game name is Misanthrope, same as my Steam name.

Seems like you're stuck in debug. Have you tried to re install the game or verify the integrity of the game cache? Maybe some files were not downloaded or are corrupt.

sounds like you ran off into the debug plains, best chance you have is to try to remember if you ran east or west to get there and run the opposite direction.

 

you can change your steam name and it should give you a new character, should being the key word there

Hey.... try deleting your character data in your DayZ folder, then respawn.


My brother had spawned underneath a house, was too impatient to starve to death, or die of dehydration and offered him this option, him being early into the game and stuck he did not care to lose anything he had. So he deleted his character data from his DayZ folders and had respawned back on the surface.

That won't do jack shit.. since player data is CD key related. It would just change his nick name.

That won't do anything either other than reseting his game options like resolution, graphics settings etc.

 

What you need is to be killed from the database. You should contact the devs or smth.

it had worked for my brother unless he had done something he didn't tell me about, maybe if he is up I will shoot him a text and see how he got out of it

In Chernarus+, clouds always move to the east. Run southeast, eventually you will hit either trees or the coast. If the coast, if it comes up on your left, head right (though this is highly unlikely). If it comes up in front of you or to your right, head left (east) to get to the edge of the playable map. If trees continue southeast until you hit the ocean and/or towns. If the latter, check the signs against the maps on dayzdb.com.

He said his character doesn't get hungry,thirsty or tired. So it doesn't matter where and how much he's going to run cause he won't find anything other than emptyness.
