ellerz 4 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) One thing that would be cool in dayz is having voice commands. If I hear some Players coming closer to the house where I am in or any other situation. I want to be able to communicate to them with voice commands. Sure you could type in chat, but it is not often they notice and not everybody has a mic either. The problem is that if you would bind the voice commands to the f1 to f12 keys. It would not be easy to know what key is what. So it would be nice having some menu popping up, and you just click on the text you want to say and you could have the option to whisper, speak or shout. I thinking of the shop menu from cs go, it's easy and fast. example on phrases:Friendly!Help!I'm Bleading!Bandit!Zombie!Hands up!Drop your weapons!Cease Fire!Leave it! This is my loot! Please! Don't kill me.Fuck You!I would imagine players spamming this a lot, so having variation would not break the immersion. For a example:Cease Fire!, I said Chease Fire!, are You Deaf?!, I said Chease Fire!, don't shoot! Stop! Edited January 2, 2014 by Eller

ellerz 4 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Or you could just get a mic. sure, but even then I feel players dont use it too often. It will atleast be easier to communicate to all players Edited January 2, 2014 by Eller
jSharp 14 Posted January 2, 2014 sure, but even then I feel players dont use it too often. Because we don't like being heard in close proximity so people can discover we're well within range of them. It's already bad enough being caught when you're hill sniping if you're using voip in-game rather than TS3/Skype/Mumble/whateverticklesyourfancy
AshleyP 121 Posted January 2, 2014 Okay, the game doesn't have an M1. Yet.
Gdaddy22 299 Posted January 2, 2014 Great idea, i usually use mic but sometimes my brother is using it or i it's unplugged, and typing anything on chat is too risky because you have no control over the situation when you're typing, so these quick messages would help alot. Whatever the case is, I think many would use this system. You could just whisper if you don't want to be caught in game.

Lancer 2-2 14 Posted January 2, 2014 For ladders to get fixed! Hehe just visited the "military base" south west in the map, looting one of the barracks I noticed two guys outside so I made for the door but one arrived before me so I swung it shut in his face. A shot rang out so I opened fire through the window, scared him off so I made a run for it. They thought I was still inside and fired round after round through those windows. I flanked around the hospital building and shot one in the back, I took some ammo off him and heard a foot step on metal so I legged it into the hospital and made my way to the roof. From the roof I saw the second guy on the metal pipeline walk, killed him. Went to loot the body, got plenty of ammo and vital supplies.... fully geared up... time to evac and survive up North.... nope the ladder had other ideas... fresh spawn.
