Military loot in residential areas

I think it would be cool to have some military loot in residential areas. Not saying I want AS50s laying in the streets, but it would be cool to lower loot chances in bases and airfields and increase it in some coastal cities. I'm not saying a ton of loot. Maybe like a assault vest and two guns per major city. Make it extremely rare, but not too rare that people just flood the bases. Let me know what you think. If you don't like it please let me know why in an intelligent manor.

But I imagine that once more weapons are added, it will be easier to get this kind of stuff in cities. I mean I already found a few revolvers in the office/school building, so I should think once the full range of weapons are added, going to a military base to get kitted up won't be so necessary.

 

On a side note, being able to craft armour would be wicked. Maybe a really crude vest that you make from sheets of scrap metal that makes you hard as fuck, but really slow.

I think they should add more loot variety and guns, but not military. But, I am assuming that the reason we aren't seeing any is because we don't have many civilian firearms implemented into the game. The Mosin for instance is always found in a residential area, sometimes industrial. I've also seen the Magnum inside one of those restaurant/apartment houses. If anything, the police stations should have more ammunition/guns. To be honest I'm not even sure if it is a police station, but pretty much every town has these little one story brick buildings. I have always called them police stations. If they aren't, maybe that's what these towns need. Fire station is nice too, but those are only in major cities.

I just want all things to spawn everywhere more common junk in militaries more military in the useless houses don't get me wrong they should have extremely low spawn rates outside of their most common areas but there needs to be a reason / incentive to search every house and right now there isn't, i can now walk into a town and know what houses / buildings to hit and what ones to miss which is pretty much the same as dayz mod again, we've now got all these pretty open houses that are useless! 

So hopefully later on spawn rates will apply everywhere just ultra low in non common areas, that's my dream!

I like the idea of all kinds of guns spawning in regular houses, but they would be very, very rare, (like one military gun per 10 servers, in a random house in Chernarus) so you can spend 15 hours on looting every house to find m4a1, or go to the airfield where there is a little more chance to find m4a1 but there is a high risk of getting killed.

Exactly. Right now the only reason to not head straight to a military base is either not wanting to get shot or nostalgia of a certain area. No incentive to search anything else.
