What servers are "safe"?

Really sick off losing my gear and spawning at the beach when I wanna go in a server. So what "hive" actually got a lot of servers that I can switch from with 0% chance spawning on the beach.

Avoid excessive server hopping as it is more likely you'll get wiped this way.  Wipes are usually due to server not updated to latest version, server desync with public hive or server not whitelisted by public hive.

 

Find 5 or 10 good server where you have not experienced character wipes and favorite them.

 

If you server hop excessively, your chances of being randomly wiped will be much greater.

We agree here. It should not. I hope it changes in future. Or restarts limited to at least 6 hours appart.

Server time is not dependent on the hive.  Server time is dictated by the actual server.  You may join one server where it's day and another where it's night.  Server time is not uniform across the board and is not meant to be.

 

As far as restarts, I don't see any problem with it.  Currently, most server operators are using restarts every X hours due to the current bug with loot not respawning like it should be, so restarting the server is the only way to respawn loot on servers.

The admins aren't allowed to mess with these things. As far as daylight, some hosting companies have set restart timers which override any settings changed by the admin. For example, the host I use makes our server restart every 4 hours which keeps it daytime.
