Making a list of tips to help DayZ players excel in combat scenarios. IF you have anything to add please do. I really appreciate your feedback.

 

1. Never fire from the same position twice

2. After firing two shots, relocate to a completely different location.

3. Know your rifle system! Experience with your weapon system can change the battlefield

4. Provide good intelligence, intel is a life saver at anytime.

5. Take time with your shots. A panicked sniper behind a rifle doesn't end well

5. If the first shot is a miss, observe the splash and make adjustments accordingly.

6. Emptying a clip and hoping for the best will not work.

7. If possible, multiple engagements on the enemy confuses the opposition.

8. Engage the target that is the most dangerous. Eg. a light machine gunner as opposed to a rifleman.

9. Conserve ammunition and time by making one shot kills

10. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. The 6 Ps. Organize your inventory, keep your rifle loaded and shouldered. Keep important stuff like ammunition easy to grab

If using a Mosin, don't forget to count your shots. It's never good when you hear ''click'' ''click'' in Face to Face moment.

here is a serious contribution -- if you are taken by surprise by someone who has more devious plans for you than a quick death, never show your hand. Keep your pistol concealed until the moment comes to strike. Do not let them cuff you.

11. Put your palm on the mouse, so that your index finger is on the left mouse button, and your ring finger is on the right mouse button

12. Make sure the positioning your hand is correct

13. Press the right mouse button to take aim

14. Aim at target

Step 2: if target has seen you log out and find a new server to get a new target.

At the moment someone looks at you and you have your weapon raised, being friendly or not, the person won't excite to kill you

If you are alone and faced with multiple armed hostiles, act immediately and decisively. If you take cover and give yourself time to come up with a plan, your plan will never be as good as the plan multiple hostiles will come up with, given the time.

The most IMPORTANT rule of combat in DayZ is this; Be patient.

I promise you that if you are experiencing a stand off, if you simply out patient your opponent you will win every single time.

If you kill someone, ALWAYS assume he has a friend, wait a minimum of 10 minutes before looting the body.
