Multiple Character per account

Any idea if the devs will be implementing multiple characters(or toons) for account users.. I think this would be nice for a few reasons..

 

1. Brothers, sisters, and friends that want play w/o killing your "main" character.

2. Possible loot distribution between characters with master backpack or even a tent.( obviously something I would enjoy, but some wouldn't)

3. You can place different character around the map so when playing with friends  you would be able to minimize that time of travel to group up with buddies.

Probably not officially. There is an exploit(which I won't say here for obvious reasons), but will most likely be patched soon hopefully as it brings problems for the whole survival feeling.

I would say that if warz did it, dayz shouldn't. All of those features are in said game.

These are "decent" reasons...problem is that there is about 3 trillions of bad ones for such idea...Don't see (really hope not) this ever happening apart from maybe private hives and whatnot.

Once separate hives arrive then you could have a different character on each one?

The only way you'll have multiple characters is one for first person servers and one for third person servers. You can however share games in Steam through Family Share, but there are some stipulations on that.

 

DayZ will never be a game of convenience, whereas mechanics of the game will help you advance in the game any easier, it is what it is. ;)
